History About Top Cat Entertainment
Top Cat Entertainment Agency originally started as Top Cat Records in down state Illinois and acquired a booking license in 1974. J. T. Moore started both businesses. Who coincidentally owned all the jukeboxes in Peoria, Galesburg, Bloomington/ Normal, Springfield / Urbana, Carbondale, Joliet, Canton, Kewanee, Lincoln, Danville, Moline, Rock Island all in Illinois. In the late sixties, seventies and early eighties the Records business was run a little different. The Jukeboxes were the thing, for a quarter you could hear the latest song. From Bars, soda shops, restaurants all had the latest records to help attract potential customers. Top Cat at that time was in distributing deals with Motown, Stax, Blue Note, Chess and various other record companies. To keep the Record store and the companies Jukeboxes stocked. In the summer of 1974 J.T. Moore started booking local Illinois groups in and around the Peoria area. After about a year J.T. Moore started booking name groups and doing large venues in mid-‐west, southeast and eastern seaboard.

Introducing Donald Alexander
D. James Alexander (Don) has worked for J.T. Moore aka Top Cat since he was a teenager. Started out stocking the records shelves, ending up managing the Record Store and handling all the jukeboxes in the state of Illinois. In the early seventies along with his job Don started a family band “The Alexander Bothers Band Plus aka ABB Plus”. Traveled the mid-‐west all the 70’s. Don left Peoria in 1980 traveling west to pursue a career as a music producer, songwriter and recording engineer. In 1982 Started training with Donnie and Milton at Las Vegas Recording as a second (B) Engineer for three years. Working as a (B) second engineer at Las Vegas Recording Studio, midi technician for Oakdale Studios, Son Sound and Under Pressure where he built, wired and ran the facility for four years. In 1990 Don was hired to build and Engineer Rider Records in Gardena, CA. While in California Don Built Studios for major Record Studios, “L A Confidential Recording Studio built for Electra Records”, “The Lab Studios built for MCA” and 18000 sq. ft., offices and two recording studios for Kadana Mulit media in Hawthorne, CA. Don has also worked with, The Gap Band, Troop, L.T.D, Portrait, Bright Chimeze, 2wiceberg Slim and countless others. Currently Don operates his Independent Record Label Ear Candy Entertainment and was hired by Mr. Moore in 2004 as Chief Operations Officer of Top Cat Ent. the company promotes concerts all over the United States. Don has recently stepped down from his role as CEO and hired Mr. Donell Linwood to run the day-‐to-‐day operation of the concert promotion division and Don will also remain on as Senior Consultant to insure the company has a profitable 10 year.
